About Us
Dimensional Dance Collective ("DDC") adopts a vision of dance that focuses on the three principles of community, authenticity, and style without sacrificing technique.
At its core, DDC believes in a holistic approach to dance instruction that centers a dancer’s confidence and personal growth instead of comparing them to their peers. DDC aims to nurture each dancer’s growth by incorporating a range of approaches that build confidence, recognizing that mindset plays a key role in development.

Our Founder
Founder & CEO Maya Williams has been immersed in dance since she was three, training at her mother’s studio and later competing through middle school, high school, and college. While studying Mechanical Engineering at Hofstra University, she stepped away from the competitive scene and joined a student run dance club, rediscovering her love for dance in a new way—less about trophies and more about artistry, community, and the pure love of movement.
After college, Maya’s path took her into engineering, an MBA at Columbia Business School, and then to a management consulting career, but dance remained a constant part of her life. Maya knew upon returning to the dance world, she wanted to reimagine what dance education could look like.
These experiences inspired her to create Dimensional Dance Collective—a space where dancers can train, create, and connect freely. It’s more than just another competition or convention; it’s a place to grow in community.
Welcome to DDC—where dancers learn to own their movement.
